Join C&S Electric as the Country Manager for Sri Lanka and lead our market expansion across one of Asia's most dynamic electrical distribution sectors.
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering preferred.
- Alternatively, a degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA in Marketing/Business Management would be an added advantage.
- Professional qualifications in sales/business management are advantageous.
SRI LANKAN MARKET KNOWLEDGE
- Strong knowledge of the Sri Lankan electrical and construction market.
- Established relationships with Electrical, MEP consultants, EPC contractors, Panel builders, Distributors/dealers and Developers.
- Government/semi-government organizations.
- Understanding of local tendering, specification and project-sales processes.
PERSONAL COMPETENCIES
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills, Sinhala and Tamil language is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, influencing and networking skills.
- Good analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to work with an international/head-office team.
- Strong presentation skills for consultants, contractors and senior management.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Sri Lanka.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
- 10–15 years of overall experience, preferably in the electrical/electro-mechanical industry.
- Minimum 5 years in senior Sales / business development or management role.
- Experience with LV/MV switchgear, circuit breakers, MCCB/MCB/ACB, contactors, switchboards, busbars, protection systems or electrical distribution products is highly desirable. CCS specifically has extensive product lines in these areas.
- Proven track record dealing with EPCs, consultants, panel builders, distributors, OEMs, developers and large industrial customers.
SALES, LEADERSHIP & TECHNICAL CAPABILITY
- Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets.
- Ability to develop and operate a Sri Lanka country sales strategies and manage dealer networks.
- Experience managing sales teams, engineers and channel partners.
- Identify new markets and major projects.
- Quote, negotiate, and close large B2B deals.
- Strong working knowledge of LV switchgear, ACB/MCB, changeover switches, switchboards/MCC/PCC and IEC standards.
SUGGESTED MINIMUM PROFILE
- 10-15 Years’ Experience.
- 5+ years Senior management.
- Education: Electrical Engineering / Business / Marketing degree.
- Electrical industry strongly preferred; switchgear experience highly preferred.
- Sri Lankan market experience essential & relationships.
- Distributor/channel management essential.
- Nationwide travel & driving license.
