Monitoring Executive
Remote or Colombo, Sri Lanka
Mark and Comm is a boutique strategic communications and PR agency, and the Rest of South Asia PR Agency of the Year 2025. We're looking for a Monitoring Executive to join our growing team: someone who is naturally curious, detail oriented, and enjoys turning data into meaningful insights. If you enjoy research, following the news, and keeping a close eye on what's being said across print, online, broadcast and social media, we'd love to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Monitor print, online, broadcast, and social media conversations across multiple brands and industries.
- Analyse media coverage, online conversations, and industry developments to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and reputational risks.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and campaign reports with clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Support crisis and issues monitoring by spotting significant developments in real time.
- Work closely with the PR Manager and the Intelligence team to deliver timely insights that support client communications and strategic decisions.
- Continuously improve monitoring quality, reporting accuracy, and data relevance.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Preferably 1 year of experience in a similar environment or agency, such as PR, communications, media monitoring, digital marketing, or research.
- Strong analytical and research skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and spoken English, along with fluency in Sinhala or Tamil.
- Comfortable working with data, reports, and presentation decks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with media, digital platforms, and Sri Lanka's communications landscape.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team and liaise across departments.
- A growth oriented mindset, with a genuine interest in learning and developing within the field.
- Experience with Talkwalker, Meltwater, Hootsuite, or similar platforms would be an advantage.
REPORTING TO
PR Manager and the Intelligence team.
