Inventory • Imports • Internal Controls

LOCATION: RATHMALANA

Conduct routine stock audits across warehouses and company locations.
Perform stock reconciliation between physical inventory and system records.
Verify batch numbers, manufacturing dates, expiry dates and stock movements.
Ensure proper implementation of FIFO (First In First Out) and stock rotation procedures.
Audit inventory transactions including GRNs, stock transfers, returns and inventory adjustments.
Prepare and verify Import GRNs against shipping documents and supplier invoices.
Maintain and organize complete Import Files including Purchase Orders, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading/Air Waybills, Customs documents, Import GRNs and other related shipping documents.
Ensure all import documentation is accurate, complete and properly filed for audit and regulatory purposes.
Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, Finance and Clearing Agents on Import documentation and stock receipts.
Identify inventory variances and investigate discrepancies.
Inspect warehouse storage conditions, hygiene and compliance with food safety requirements.
Verify damaged, expired, slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations.
Conduct surprise stock counts and implement corrective actions.
Assist management in strengthening internal controls and minimizing inventory losses.

Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 2 years' experience in Internal Audit, Inventory Audit, Warehouse Audit, Import Documentation or Stock Control.
Experience in FMCG, Food Distribution, Import & Export, Logistics or Manufacturing will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of inventory reconciliation, Import GRNs, shipping documentation and warehouse operations.
Familiarity with Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Import Documentation and ERP/Inventory Systems will be an advantage.
Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Computer literacy in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP Systems.
Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
Willingness to travel to warehouses and operational sites for audits.
High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
