MARKER MAKER
We are a foreign-owned apparel manufacturing company specializing in women's fast-fashion garments, looking for an accurate and detail-driven individual to join our team as a Marker Maker. The successful candidate will plan and prepare markers that make the most efficient use of fabric while keeping cutting accurate, on time and aligned with production requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check pattern against sample and cutter requirements.
- Coordinate with the fabric inspector on shrinkage and fabric width.
- Coordinate with Cutting to receive the marker plan early.
- Draw markers based on the cut plan, checking every marker before release.
- Release markers to the auto cutter and plot markers.
- Draw usage markers, calculate fabric usage, and pass figures to costing.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a marker maker.
- Knowledge of style CAD software is an advantage.
- Experience with fashion garments is an advantage.
We are looking for someone who can maximize fabric usage without compromising cutting accuracy or production timelines.
