Research Associate

We are Looking for:
- Master’s degree in Agricultural Biotechnology, Plant Molecular Biology and Genomics, Agricultural Microbiology or a related field
- Minimum 1 Year hands on experience in molecular laboratory techniques, market assisted, breeding etc is essential to become a part of SLIBTEC
Responsibilities:
- Collect and process plant & soil samples for laboratory analysis
- Conduct laboratory experiments and data analysis
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and adhere to safety protocols
- Secure international funding/grants for research and technical assistance for SLIBTEC
- Execute SLIBTEC research to deliver expected outcomes in a timely manner
- Take part in developing research and development related policies, rules and guidelines for responsible conduct of research
- Assist in identification and development of contract research and services in line with market demand and SLIBTEC research mandate
- Review and report the progress of the research to the team leader regularly
- Disseminate research findings by publishing in high impact journals, conducting workshops/seminars/training programmes, etc
- Adhere to SLIBTEC research policies and ethical conduct of research
- Foster gainful partnerships with national/international public and private sector organizations for cutting edge research and technology transfers
- Identify the requirements and guide the development of research infrastructure for SLIBTEC
