Research Scientist

We are Looking for:
- Ph.D. in Agricultural Science/Plant Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, or a related field from a recognized university
- M.Phil. in Agricultural Science /Plant Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, or a related field from a recognized university with 5 years of research work experience
- M.Sc. in Agricultural Science /Plant Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, or a related field from a recognized university with 7 years of research working experience
- Minimum of 2 research publications in indexed journals or equivalent patents
- Proven experience in agricultural biotechnology, plant molecular biology, crop improvement, genetic engineering, plant tissue culture, plant diagnostics, or related areas will be considered
Responsibilities:
- Generate research ideas aligned with global and national agricultural needs and identify new research opportunities
- Conduct and supervise laboratory and field experiments as assigned to ensure timely delivery of expected outcomes
- Develop and optimize biotechnology-based approaches for agricultural and crop-related applications
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, research documentation, and experimental records to support innovation and IP protection
- Maintain records in compliance with IP protection guidelines and confidentiality policies
- Mentor and supervise junior researchers if assigned
- Support in organizing workshops, training programs, and conducting regular service support
- Develop national and international grant proposals for research and technology development in agricultural biotechnology
- Identify commercialization opportunities and provide necessary support for business development in plant biotechnology development
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Management
Competencies and Skills:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with national and international organizations
- Knowledge and understanding of intellectual property and innovation management
- Experience in experimental design, data analysis, scientific problem-solving, and assisting other team members
- Excellent scientific writing, documentation, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and handling confidential information while serving on a 24/7 basis
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with innovative idea development
