MANAGEMENT INTERNS – QUALITY ASSURANCE
Global Sports Lanka (Private) Limited [Formerly North Sails Lanka (Private) Limited] has been a world leader in sports and leisure equipment manufacturing for over four decades. Partnering with globally recognized brands, we hold a pioneer position in the global market for surf kites, foil wings and wind surfing sails. With more than 950 employees across our Katunayake and Wathupitiwala Export Processing Zones and is owned by GST Betilings GmbH, incorporated in Austria. GLSL is looking for a career-oriented individual to join our team.
We are now seeking dynamic and passionate individuals to join our Quality Assurance team in our Wathupitiwala QA Laboratory to contribute to Management Interns and grow with a company that values excellence and innovation.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Textile Engineering/ Textile Technology/Material Science/ Polymer Science/Science/ Mathematics/Statistics / IT
- Diploma in Quality Management or equivalent QA qualification
- Knowledge of Textile Materials (Woven and Non-woven fabrics, Adhesives, etc.)
- Knowledge of textile testing standards (ISO, ASTM, JIS)
- Hands-on experience with textile testing equipment will be an added advantage
- Ability to maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Proficiency in English (spoken & written)
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Data Analysis, Reporting, Graphs, Advanced Formatting, Simulations, Validation)
- Preferred age: 25–30 years
- Candidates residing near Wathupitiwala area are encouraged to apply
Additional Advantages
- Having worked in a textile laboratory environment will be a definite advantage
- Exposure / Knowledge to ISO 9001:2015, OHSAS 18001, and QMS tools
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Time & Action Planning, and Efficiency Improvement
- Familiarity with ERP systems or production data analysis tools
- Understanding of AQL standards, buyer quality requirements, and quality control systems
