Logistics Officer

RMC Operations – Peliyagoda

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our team in the above capacity.

Job Role

The Logistics Officer will be responsible for managing the dispatch and transportation of ready-mixed concrete to various construction sites. The role includes resource planning, vehicle coordination, and working closely with internal teams to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective deliveries.

The right candidate should have:

• GCE A/L qualification
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with logistics software is advantageous
• Basic knowledge or experience in vehicle maintenance, especially in the transportation of ready-mixed concrete
• Age below 45 years

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the daily transportation of ready-mixed concrete to construction sites
• Work collaboratively with the sales team to resolve customer delivery issues
• Optimize delivery schedules and routes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
• Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
• Oversee the condition and maintenance of the delivery vehicle fleet
• Ensure logistical operations comply with internal processes and safety standards
• Monitor and report on delivery performance and operational metrics
