We're Hiring: Mechanical Draftsman
We are seeking a Mechanical Draftsman to produce accurate engineering drawings and technical documentation for fabrication and production, working closely with design engineers and production teams.
What we're looking for:
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in mechanical drafting and design
- Sound knowledge of fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials
- Good understanding of mechanical fabrication methods and technical requirements
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, apply dimensional tolerances, and understand manufacturing requirements
What you'll do:
- Prepare accurate 2D and 3D drawings including fabrication, assembly, and detailed component drawings
- Develop and modify 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD to project requirements
- Prepare BOMs, material lists, cutting details, and supporting production documentation
- Coordinate with production teams to clarify drawing details and resolve fabrication issues
- Revise drawings based on design changes, production feedback, and customer requirements
- Maintain drawing numbering, revision control, and organised project records
