Role Overview

Looking for a structured, legally-savvy Recovery Officer to join our Finance Division. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting the company's cash flow by managing long-overdue accounts, spearheading structured recovery efforts, and managing recovery-related legal cases in coordination with the Legal Officer. The ideal candidate balances firm negotiation skills with the professionalism required to maintain positive customer relations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor long-overdue accounts and drive resolution through structured collection efforts while maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Regularly follow up on outstanding balances and negotiate sustainable, mutually agreeable repayment terms.
  • Work seamlessly with the company's Legal Officer to manage recovery cases; attend court hearings to represent and protect company interests.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all recovery actions, agreements, and an up-to-date database tracking legal case progress.
  • Provide regular updates to the Manager – Finance and prepare data-driven reports on recovery trends and operational success rates.
  • Analyze delinquent accounts to identify risk patterns, propose preventive credit control measures, and collaborate with Sales and Finance to align account management.

Qualifications

  • Passed G.C.E. A/L examination.
  • Proven experience in debt recovery, collections, or credit control, with demonstrable experience in managing long-term delinquencies.
  • Familiarity with legal recovery procedures, court proceedings, and legal documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and prepare performance reports.
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
