Join us as the Gender and Women Financing Lead – a key role driving our DEI strategy and women-focused financing initiatives both within the bank and among our customers and partners. You'll play a critical role in shaping a more inclusive future – targeting at least 30% of the loan book to meet 2X Challenge Criteria by FY2027.

The Job Role:

  • Drive the bank’s Gender and Women Financing Strategy aligned to SDGs, 2X Challenge, and We-Fi Code.
  • Develop and grow unique women-focused financial propositions with internal teams and development partners.
  • Build internal awareness and staff capacity on DEI and women financing.
  • Engage customers through training, events, and non-financial support to position the bank as a leader in women empowerment.
  • Represent the bank and provide thought leadership in DEI and gender finance forums.

The Person:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in women banking or in a role providing financial and non-financial advisory services to women entrepreneurs or a banker with over 5 years’ experience in SME and/or Retail Banking who has been engaged in advocacy efforts for women empowerment through Chambers of Commerce and other Civil Society organizations could also be considered for the role.
  • Excellent range of communication skills including written, verbal and the ability to deliver compelling presentations. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
