We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual with a passion for sales and marketing. The selected candidate will be responsible for strategizing and pursuing new business opportunities to drive our growth strategy in Sri Lanka and overseas.

Business Development Executive

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market analysis and research: Analysing market trends, identifying potential new markets and customer segments to target.
  • Lead generation: Identifying and qualifying potential clients through networking, outreach, and marketing initiatives.
  • Relationship building: Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with prospective clients and key decision-makers.
  • Business development planning: Developing and executing strategic business development plans to achieve growth goals.
  • Proposal creation: Work closely with UTECH's technical team and prepare commercial proposals that outline the value proposition.
  • Negotiation: Negotiating contract terms and pricing with clients to secure profitable deals.
  • Collaboration with integrators and distributors: Identify new distributors and integrators and work closely with them to onboard and promote sales in their respective field and/or territory.
  • Customer retention: Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to foster repeat business and loyalty.
  • Reporting and analysis: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing regular updates on business development activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree or professional qualification related to marketing or business development from a recognized institution.
  • A proven track record with at least two (2) years' experience in business to business technical sales and marketing. Previous experience in sales in the areas of factory automation will be given preference.
  • Possess a customer-centric mind-set to build strong relationships with clients.
  • High degree of self-motivation and perseverance.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
