HUMAN RESOURCE EXECUTIVE

GRI is a leading specialty tire producer in Sri Lanka. We have been supplying tires to more than 100 countries worldwide since 2002. GRI has sales offices in the United States, Europe and Australia. We produce high-performance tires for Agriculture, Material Handling, and Construction vehicles.

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated HR Executive to join our team at the Head Office in Colombo 04 of a leading organization in the Rubber Tire Manufacturing Industry. This role will be responsible for supporting and executing key human resource functions including recruitment and selection, training and development, employee engagement initiatives, and HR operational processes across the organization.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, people-focused, and capable of working collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure HR activities align with business objectives. This position plays an important role in strengthening our workplace culture, supporting talent development, and driving organizational effectiveness at a corporate level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Selection:
    • Coordinate recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate screening, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and onboarding new employees.
  • Training & Development:
    • Assist in identifying training needs, organizing internal and external training programs, and maintaining training records.
  • Employee Engagement & Welfare:
    • Organize employee engagement events, CSR initiatives, and welfare activities to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • HR Operations:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (both physical and digital), handle confirmations, transfers, resignations, and coordinate probation/contract evaluations.
  • HRIS & Attendance Management:
    • Update and maintain HRIS data, monitor attendance and leave records, and support monthly payroll processing with accurate inputs.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure all employee documentation is in place and aligned with local labour laws and company policies. Assist in statutory requirements including EPF, ETF, gratuity, etc.
  • Performance Management Support:
    • Facilitate performance review cycles and support managers with documentation and follow-ups.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management or Business Administration
  • Proven work experience as an HR Executive or similar HR role
  • Sound understanding of Sri Lankan labor regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhala
  • Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to HRIS systems
  • Energetic, organized, and able to maintain confidentiality
