SOUS CHEF

As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in leading our kitchen brigade, upholding culinary excellence, and creating memorable dining moments for our guests. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and management team to ensure top-tier food quality, innovation, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and developing diverse menus that blend local and international cuisines, incorporating fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients.
- Lead, train, and inspire kitchen staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and maintain a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency to exceed guest expectations.
- Manage inventory, monitor food costs, and support budget planning to maintain financial efficiency without compromising quality.
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas.
- Collaborate with management to organize and execute special events, promotional activities, and themed dining experiences.
- Promote a clean, organized, and positive kitchen environment that reflects professionalism and culinary passion.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a professional kitchen, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or Sous Chef capacity within a hotel or high-end restaurant.
- Proven expertise in both local and international cuisine preparation and presentation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire a diverse culinary team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Solid understanding of kitchen financials including food cost control and inventory management.
- A passion for hospitality, creativity in culinary execution, and a guest-focused mindset.
