Sample Room Manager

Location- Corporate Office- Wattala

We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for pursuing a career in the apparel industry. The ideal candidate should be an energetic, team player with excellent communication, a proactive attitude, and the ability to be self-motivated and work independently to achieve tight deadlines.

Job Role

  • Oversee and manage all sample room activities to ensure timely production of high-quality samples that align with customer specifications.
  • Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly sample production schedules to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Ensure adherence to good working practices while maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive working environment.
  • Provide technical guidance in pattern making, fitting, and garment construction to ensure accuracy and quality prior to sample dispatch.
  • Coordinate with the bulk production teams to validate the feasibility and commercial viability of developed samples.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sample room team to achieve performance targets and maintain high levels of productivity and quality.

Individual Profile

  • A professional qualification in Garment Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity within the apparel industry.
  • Age below 45 years.
  • In-depth knowledge of sewing techniques, pattern making, sample development processes, and cost-effective garment construction methods.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with a hands-on approach to leadership.
  • A collaborative team player with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work under pressure.
