Head of Dealer Management

Overview of the role

The Head of Dealer Management will lead the overall strategy, performance, and relationship management of the dealer network across the country. This senior leadership role is responsible for developing and executing dealer development plans, optimizing dealer operations, ensuring compliance with brand standards, and driving sales and customer satisfaction through the dealer channel. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to grow the business sustainably.

Scope of the role

  • Develop and implement the national dealer strategy aligned with corporate business objectives.
  • Lead dealer network expansion, restructuring, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Establish dealer performance metrics and monitor KPIs including sales volumes, service standards, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with dealers to ensure alignment with the company’s vision, policies, and operational expectations.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, aftersales, and finance teams to ensure consistent support and guidance for dealers.
  • Oversee dealer audits and ensure compliance with legal, financial, and brand standards.
  • Identify training and capability development needs within the dealer network and work with internal teams to deliver targeted programs.
  • Evaluate and resolve conflicts or operational issues within the dealer channel efficiently.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior management on dealer performance, market trends, and risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in dealer or distribution management, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of dealer operations, sales processes, and customer relationship management.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing dealer network strategies in the automotive or a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and drive results.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse dealer partners and internal teams.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to engage with dealers and regional teams.
