Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and financial transactions
  • Handle purchasing and procurement of office supplies and materials
  • Manage filing systems and ensure proper documentation of records
  • Process banking transactions, deposits, and reconciliations
  • Assist with general administrative and financial tasks as needed
  • Manage all accounting transactions
  • Prepare budget forecasts
  • Publish financial statements in time
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Ensure timely bank payments

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping, purchasing, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks
  • Experience with general ledger functions

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Preferred but not required)
  • Experience: 5-8 years of accounting experience in a corporate setting. Previously worked in Audit firm, construction sector or service-based company is preferred.
  • Professional Certifications: Fully or partly qualified CA, AAI, ACCA, CIMA (preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Spreadsheets.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines

  • Familiarity with tax laws and financial regulations in the Maldives is a plus.
