Job Description
Job Roles:
- Coordinate with the scriptwriter and assisting the production crew on the shoot day.
- Review scripts to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution.
- Meet with the production team to establish the desired feel and look for the video to be created.
- Gather and transfer all forms of media (FB | IG | TikTok | YT) into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format.
- Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation.
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
- Improve video and sound quality using various video software.
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.
- Create rough and final cuts.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Video Editor.
- Diploma or a basic course on video editing.
- Hand on experience in video and audio editing software and programs (Adobe Premier & After Effects).
- Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously.
- Creative experience in filmmaking and videography.
- Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with production team and the ability to bring them to life.
- Experience in editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions.
- Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects.
- Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation.
- Knowledge on flying a drone, Mirrorless Camera settings and shooting on Gimbals are added advantages for a higher salary.
