Our client is a leading manufacturer and exporter in the Food and Beverage industry. To achieve excellence and expand their business, the company is looking for a self-motivated, ambitious, and dynamic individual in the capacity of;

FINANCE MANAGER

The selected candidate will provide leadership and take responsibility for financial management and strategic direction. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the incumbent will oversee the Group's Treasury Function, Financial Reporting, Credit Control, Regulatory Compliance, and Tax Planning, delivering commercial insights to support tax-efficient operations and informed decision-making. Furthermore, the designated candidate will join a team of experienced professionals in the field of Finance and will help pave the way for a mutually beneficial career within the Group.

This position is based at Colombo 02.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting of Group companies while ensuring compliance with the statutory regulations inclusive of Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) requirements.
  • Statutory Reporting of such as publishing of Annual Reports.
  • Timely payment of all suppliers of the group including Project related payments.
  • Treasury Function of the Group including day to day cash management activities and liaising with banks.
  • Credit Control.
  • Submission of timely reports to the Audit Committee etc. ensuring compliance with CSE reporting deadlines.
  • Act as the point of contact for tax clarifications, guidance and advice of group companies. You are required to provide recommendations to Group companies for efficient tax planning.
  • Ensure that Group assets are accurately and properly covered with adequate insurance as required for each type.

The ideal candidate should;

  • Be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years post qualified managerial level experience and having been employed in a listed company will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in managing Engineering project related payments and Insurance matters would be a definite advantage.
  • A strong knowledge of Accounting Standards and of Internal Controls would be essential for the role.
  • Have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work across all levels of staff and Management.
