Eco Care Bio Energy (Pvt) Limited is a company focused on supplying sustainable bio-energy in the form of wood chips for the manufacturing industry.
We have opened a brand new wood chipping plant located in Thudugala, Kaluthara and are now looking for experienced professionals to fill the following vacancies.
PLANT SUPERVISOR (Location – Thudugala, Kaluthara)
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure that all plant operations are planned and implemented to meet customer requirements
- Be responsible for achieving the productivity KPIs of the plant – people, machine, energy
- Maintain plant machinery and vehicles to ensure zero down time
- Ensure that all guidelines issued by various government authorities are strictly adhered to
- Maintain the cleanliness of the plant and premises
- Establish and maintain good relationships with all government departments, authorities, pradeshiya sabhas and officers
- Ensure that human and other resources are available to handle production and deliveries
- Maintain and update all records – firewood receipts, production, deliveries – to be able to trace the source of the firewood
- Identify and suggest process improvements to reduce costs and minimize wastage in the plant
- Recommend invoices of firewood suppliers for payment and purchase firewood as and when necessary
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess NDT, NDES (Mechanical), NCT or Equivalent Qualifications from a reputed Institute.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity at a manufacturing company.
- Technical knowledge to handle/supervise machinery/vehicle breakdowns will be a distinct advantage
- Leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Good negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to work long hours and during week-ends if the need arises
- Being proactive and target oriented
OPERATIONS ASSISTANT (Location – Thudugala, Kaluthara)
Key Accountabilities
- Assist the plant supervisor to implement planned plant operations to meet customer requirements
- Operate the weigh bridge to issue tickets to ensure that accurate records of receipts and issues are obtained and kept.
- Maintain records of productivity KPIs of the plant – people, machine, energy
- Maintain records of machinery and vehicle maintenance to ensure zero down time
- Assist in following all guidelines issued by various government authorities
- Maintain the cleanliness of the plant and premises
- Work with people who handle production and deliveries
- Maintain and update all records – firewood receipts, production, deliveries – to be able to trace the source of the firewood
- Submit invoices of firewood suppliers for recommendation for payment
Qualifications & Experience
- GCE (A/L) Examination in Technology, Commerce or Science stream
- Good IT skills
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar capacity at a manufacturing company.
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Good communication skills
- Willing to work long hours and during week-ends if the need arises
- Being proactive and target oriented
The remuneration package is negotiable and is based on qualifications & experience.
