Driver – 1 position

Northern / Eastern (Contract Position)

Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is British based International Non-Governmental Organization undertaking humanitarian mine action around the world. MAG is working to save lives and build futures in Sri Lanka by reducing the risk presented by remnants of conflict since 2002. As part of MAG’s commitment to safeguarding, this post is subject to background checks before an offer of employment is confirmed.

MAG Sri Lanka is seeking applications from suitable External candidates to fill the above positions immediately. Selected candidates will be deployed in MAG operations in northern and eastern provinces and should be flexible in working all parts of the region according to operational working patterns.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience with Heavy Vehicle license
• Basic mechanical knowledge for the care and maintenance of vehicles.
• Accurate book keeping and administration skills to complete vehicle maintenance Log book (In English).
• Adaptable and flexible approach to work in different locations (district) and ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to work in 21 days continuous work cycle and be prepared work away from home district.
• Experience in INGO/NGO is preferable.
• Converse in Three Languages.

Salary will be based upon the MAG Salary Scale on a fixed-term contract.
