PROCUREMENT OFFICER

Founded by culinary maestros Chef Dharshan Munidasa and cricketers Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara, our restaurant has earned global acclaim for its delectable dishes and commitment to quality. As we continue to elevate the dining experience, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our Procurement Team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to guarantee timely deliveries and resolve any supply issues efficiently.
- Coordinate with kitchen/restaurant staff to understand the restaurant requirements and ensure consistent supply chain.
- Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, minimizing waste and maximizing cost-efficiency.
- Handling the GRN, Issue Notes and other related works in the ERP system.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to track expenses, filing purchase orders, reconcile invoices, and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Taking proactive measures to prevent supply chain disruptions and minimize risks.
- Communicating regularly with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any issues or concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher diploma in supply chain management / Business administration, or a related field or any other equivalent qualifications.
- Proven 2-3 years of experience as a procurement officer or similar role, preferably in the food and beverage industry. Experience in Japanese foods will be added as advantage.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Having a motorbike will be added as an advantage.
- The position follows a roster pattern to ensure coverage during critical business hours. Flexibility in working hours may be required based on business needs.
