Scope of the Role

Empowering management with timely and accurate market and customer insights to identify and capture opportunities that maximize profit and drive revenue growth through extensive analysis. This role is placed within the Middle Management tier.

Responsibilities

  • Develop commercial business plan with the support of Commercial Director and senior management and provide assistance to the Business Plan’s overall champion to define the company’s strategic plan.
  • Conduct independent micro market pricing audits to evaluate competitor pricing and promotions structures.
  • Develop data/tools/procedures to provide insightful recommendations to commercial teams via extensive analysis across price, promotion, and trade terms.
  • Generate market insights to support revenue strategy and other business strategic initiatives.
  • Derive customer/product prices for B2B and Mortar Business based on pricing policy.
  • Develop rebate proposals for B2B and Mortar Business based on the market conditions.
  • Develop Net price plan for budget and LE based on macro-economic and competitive environment changes for B2B and Mortar Business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Statistics or Mathematics from an accredited university.
  • Full qualification in CIMA or Chartered Accountancy will be added advantage.
  • 03 to 05 years of relevant job experience with high analytical/numerical skills and the ability to adapt to quick business changes and operate independently by anticipating changes in the business environment.
  • Must be a team player and should be able to gather accurate estimations on market intelligence from relevant key players on prices, and discounting tactics in the market.
  • Ability to write engaging reports to highlight market situations, market trends & competitor actions etc. and to recommend solutions.
  • Strong business knowledge/ acumen, preferably in construction/building material industry and knowledge of the international cement trade landscape.
  • Skills in advanced MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint and be able to use software such as SAP and think-cell and BI tools to be able to read the markets clearly and faster.
