VACANCY FOR ACCOUNTANT
Colombo Wooden Company (Pvt) Ltd is a manufacturer of timber products for the foodservice industry. We are located in Rathmalana.
We are hiring an Accountant to handle all accounting and finance-related activities at our company.
Responsibilities
- All accounting functions including: maintaining ledgers, bank reconciliations, managing accounts payable/receivable.
- Generating monthly financial reports and analyses, and other reports as required.
- Ensuring compliance with all tax regulations including WHT, VAT, EPF/ETF; liaising with tax authorities.
- Developing and enforcing financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls & external regulations.
- Participating at management meetings to drive improvements in company performance indicators.
Qualifications
- Degree or higher in accounting or accounting-related discipline; or passed in ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CA.
- At least 1 year experience as a chartered accountant.
- Strong English language skills, proficiency in basic computer software + accounting packages.
- Able to operate with minimal supervision and solve issues if they arise.
