Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the planning team to receive priority cutting plan details, including Kanban meeting updates and other requirements aligned with the cut plan.
- Verify dockets against the cut plan to ensure complete accuracy. In case of discrepancies (e.g., variations in Costed YY vs. Docket YY or marker efficiency), return the docket to stores and notify the CAD room for immediate rework.
- Obtain quality feedback and ensure the correct materials are issued to the cutting department.
- Monitor and enhance cutting and marker efficiency, targeting 3% material savings while maintaining high productivity standards.
- Collaborate with the PCU team to meet production capacity requirements and ensure all costing activities are completed on time.
- Oversee the bulk layering process, resolve issues promptly, and ensure bulk cutting begins within 2 hours of re-cut approval.
- Maintain cutting quality standards and ensure panels are cut accurately according to the approved marker.
- Ensure zero downtime and adhere to the agreed departmental cost targets.
- Promote multi-skilling initiatives within the cutting team while maintaining discipline and professional conduct.
- Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing concepts to boost overall operational efficiency.
- Perform any additional duties aligned with the job role as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 03 to 05 years of experience in a manufacturing or apparel industry.
- Degree/diploma or professional qualification from a recognized university or institute is an added advantage.
- Result and goal-oriented attitude with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership skills coupled with People Management capabilities.
- Should be a target-oriented person with eagerness to meet deadlines.
