Quality Assurance Manager - MG Apparel (Private) Limited, Imbulana.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the factory’s Quality Assurance (QA) systems, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent compliance with buyer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor and control product quality throughout all production stages by planning and conducting inline, end-line, and final audits, ensuring adherence to AQL and customer specifications.
  • Lead and guide QA and QC teams in identifying root causes of quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with production, technical, and merchandising teams to ensure product integrity from sample development through bulk production, maintaining required quality and aesthetic standards.
  • Coordinate with raw material and trim suppliers to verify material conformity, resolve quality issues promptly, and uphold supplier quality performance as per company and buyer expectations.
  • Ensure compliance and audit readiness for all customer, third-party, and certification audits (Eg., ISO 9001:2015) maintaining proper records and driving a culture of quality and accountability across the organization.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field from a recognized university or institute.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity within the garment manufacturing industry, with specific experience in jackets, pants, and coveralls being a distinct advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control techniques and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities, with a proven track record of motivating and inspiring teams to achieve high performance.
  • Age between 35 and 50 years is preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Sinhala (spoken and written).
