TEACHER OF ART & DESIGN (SENIOR SCHOOL)

The British School in Colombo is seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Art and Design to join our team from August 2026.
YOUR ROLE:
- Plan and deliver engaging, skill-based Art lessons aligned with the senior School curriculum.
- Encourage creativity, problem-solving and innovation through hands-on, practical activities.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Holds a Degree in Art & Design
- Suitably qualified and experienced teacher of Art and Design
- Experience in teaching all age groups (11 to 19 years)
- Experience in teaching IGCSE / O Level and AS/A Level is essential
- Candidates with experience of successfully teaching the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level specification is desirable
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Is creative, enthusiastic and able to inspire and engage students
- Is collaborative, adaptable and committed to high standards of learning
- Has excellent IT skills and a good understanding of current technologies and trends in education
