Manager Financial Accounting & Tax
The position holder will report to Head of Financial Accounting- Tax & Treasury and closely work on the financial health of the company by overlooking the activities pertaining to external financial reporting system, financial controls, and statutory compliance.
The incumbent will also be responsible on the following activities,
- Lead and manage financial accounting operations, including period-end closings, financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, and strong internal controls.
- Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies while supporting strategic decision-making.
- Oversee all tax functions (VAT, Income Tax, WHT, SSCL, etc.), ensuring accurate filings, regulatory compliance, reconciliations, and effective tax risk management.
- Manage accounts payable, vendor reconciliations, payment governance, and support cash flow and working capital efficiency.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and finance transformation initiatives, particularly within ERP/SAP environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (auditors, regulators, banks, and internal teams) to strengthen governance, ensure financial discipline, and support sustainable business performance.
Who We Want
- Fully qualified CA Sri Lanka (ICASL) member with 4+ years of post-qualification experience; audit firm background required.
- Strong knowledge of SLFRS/LKAS and solid hands-on experience in Sri Lankan taxation (VAT, Income Tax, WHT, SSCL, etc.).
- Experience in the FMCG sector is a plus; a relevant degree in Finance/Accounting is an added advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and support business decisions.
- Proven stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills across multiple levels.
- Exposure to ERP systems, especially SAP, is highly desirable.
