ASSISTANT MANAGER / MANAGER - CREDIT

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations of credit proposals.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, risk assessments, and customer creditworthiness evaluations.
  • Review loan documentation and ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor and manage portfolio quality, delinquency trends, and risk exposures.
  • Coordinate with sales and operations teams to facilitate efficient loan processing and disbursement.
  • Recommend credit policy enhancements and process improvements to strengthen risk management.
  • Prepare periodic credit reports, portfolio analysis, and management information reports (MIS).
  • Support recovery and collections teams in managing high-risk or overdue accounts.

Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications in Accounting such as CIMA or ACCA will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 4 - 8 years of experience in credit evaluation, risk management, or lending operations within the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of credit appraisal techniques, financial statement analysis, and lending regulations.
  • Experience in leasing, SME financing, vehicle financing, or consumer finance will be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and credit/risk management systems.
