Senior Software / Automation Systems Engineer
Automated Terminals & Warehouses
We are looking for an experienced engineer to support testing, troubleshooting, integration, and optimisation of software and automation systems used in highly automated container terminals and warehouses. The role will gradually evolve towards DevOps, product support, automation integration, and advanced system development activities.
Required Background
Applicants MUST have minimum 5 years of practical hands-on experience from one or more of the following environments: Container terminals, or Bulk or breakbulk terminals, or Automated warehouses / distribution centres, or Industrial material handling or automation facilities
Applicants must have one of the following profiles:
A. Software Engineer / Developer
Experience with:
- WMS, WCS, WES, TOS, SAP or similar systems
- Event-driven operational systems
- Real-time integrations between software and equipment
OR
B. Industrial Automation Engineer
Experience with:
- Industrial automation systems
- Programming / scripting
- Databases and integrations
- Operational control systems
Critical Knowledge Requirements
Strong understanding of: Material handling operations and process flows, Physical logistics processes, Production and automation principles, Buffers, transfer zones, process decoupling, throughput, bottlenecks, and operational dependencies, Event-driven workflows where one system/equipment triggers actions in another system
Desired Technical Skills
Java, C#, Linux, SQL, scripting, APIs, automated testing, DevOps, PLC/SCADA integration.

- Ability to support rotating day/evening/night shifts
- Analytical and structured mindset
- Interest in advanced logistics automation technologies
