We are seeking a Procurement Associate on contract basis with an engineering background to support sourcing, supplier evaluation and contract negotiations for engineering projects. This role bridges technical and commercial functions, ensuring that materials, components, and services meet project specifications while delivering optimal cost, quality, and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities for a key engineering project, from requisition to purchase order issuance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical specifications and requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on technical capability, cost, quality, and reliability.
  • Lead and support commercial negotiations, including pricing, delivery terms, and contract conditions.
  • Analyze supplier proposals and provide recommendations based on both technical and commercial factors.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure long-term value and performance.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and compliance with specifications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, project management) to align procurement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project budgets.
  • Support risk assessment and mitigation strategies in the supply chain.

Profile & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within an engineering or manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Commercial acumen with technical insight.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with attention to detail.
