GENERAL MANAGER - DOMESTIC & REGIONAL BUSINESS
FULL TIME | 359/1A, GALLE ROAD, MOUNT LAVINIA, SRI LANKA
ROLE OVERVIEW
- Drive revenue growth and market expansion
- Lead project sales within construction, interiors, and building materials sectors
- Manage and lead a dynamic multidisciplinary team across Sales, Procurement, Finance, Technical Services, Installations, Warehouse & Workshop Operations
- Build scalable systems, KPIs, operational structures, and performance-driven processes
- Identify and develop new markets, products, business opportunities, and growth verticals
- Influence branding, promotions, and market positioning strategies
- Conduct continuous market studies, competitor analysis, and industry research
- Monitor sales performance, analyze business trends, and set realistic but ambitious targets
- Develop strong relationships with developers, contractors, architects, consultants, and interior designers
- Take full responsibility for the division’s operational and financial performance, including Profit & Loss (P&L)
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Proven experience in senior management, business development, project sales, or commercial leadership
- Prior experience in construction material, interiors, manufacturing, or related industries would be a strong advantage
- Strong existing network of developers, contractors, architects, and interior designers preferred
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and driving revenue growth
- Excellent knowledge in Excel, budgeting, costing, financial forecasting, and business analysis
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, branding, and operational skills
- Ability to identify markets, influence branding and promotions, undertake constant market study and competitor study
- Proven ability to monitor sales performances, set goals and drive results
- Completely responsible for P&L (Profit & Loss)
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master’s preferred
- Willingness to travel domestically and regionally as required
