TRANSPORT OFFICER
An officer with good experience is required to work in the Transport department of a major group company located in Wattala.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the vehicle fleet (10 & 6 Wheel Lorries), ensuring optimal performance and safety
- Plan, schedule, and monitor all preventive and corrective maintenance of the fleet
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, inspections, etc.
- Coordinate with drivers, cross-function staff, and external service providers to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate fleet records, logs, and reports (repairs, breakdowns, accidents)
- Support procurement of vehicles, parts, tyres, and maintenance services

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience managing heavy vehicles
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, workshop operations, and technical issues
- Valid driving license, preferably heavy vehicle class
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
