Deputy Manager

Business Development (Battery Division)

Location: Colombo / Gampaha

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and drive automotive battery sales through dealer and direct sales channels
  • Achieve sales targets while ensuring timely debt collection and recovery
  • Execute branding, promotional, and marketing activities within the assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain strong dealer relationships while monitoring dealer performance
  • Identify and expand new dealer networks and market opportunities
  • Coordinate stock availability and logistics with relevant internal teams
  • Handle customer and dealer inquiries, complaints, and technical issues effectively
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior
  • Ensure compliance with sales processes, reporting standards, and operational procedures
  • Support management with business development initiatives and operational improvements

Requirements & Skills

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Proven experience in sales planning and target achievement
  • Knowledge of branding, marketing, and territory management
  • Good coordination, organizing, and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Product and market knowledge in the automotive/battery industry will be an added advantage
