LOGISTICS EXECUTIVE
The Colombo Ice Company (CICL), manufacturer of Elephant House Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CICL is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
Vacancies exist for the role of Logistics Executive at Supply Chain. The position will be based in Avissawella.
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Transportation, Distribution & reporting
- Coordinate daily outbound and inbound transportation with clients and carriers.
- Plan truck schedules and optimize routing for timely deliveries.
- Monitor 3PL transport providers’ performance (on-time delivery, cost, service level).
- Address transport-related issues such as delays, shortages, or damage.
- Provides active support to meet seasonal demand as directed by management.
- Cost effective Cold room Operation
- Creates PRs, POs, SRNs, and GRNs, and follows up closely on approvals.
Logistics planning
- Responsible for conducting logistics analysis through software tools and updating Power BI dashboards to reflect company KPIs.
Truck space Optimization
- Improve Truck capacity utilization
- Improve Pack fill rate
Quality
- Take initiatives to minimize damage.
- Implement measures to reduce damage during transportation.
- Work towards resolving and eliminating NCRs on a month-to-month basis.
SHE
- Responsible for enforcing safety guidelines throughout logistics operations, carrying out regular audits, reducing accidents, and ensuring near misses are promptly reported.
Maintain standards requirements
- Ensures compliance with all business-relevant standards.
- Accountable for upholding business standards relevant to operations.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Degree or equivalent diploma in Logistics Management, with analytical skills and at least 1–2 years of practical experience in fleet management, including people management.
The selected candidate will be based at the Avissawella Factory.
Remuneration for the above position will be in accordance with the JKH Compensation and Benefits Policy.
