MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
AMBWELEA & PATTIPOLA
We are looking for a young, energetic, and motivated individual to join our Engineering Team in Ambewela and Pattipola. This is a great opportunity to build a career in the dairy industry and gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment. The selected candidate will work as a Maintenance Assistant, supporting breakdown, preventive, and predictive maintenance of dairy farm machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of dairy farm machinery and equipment.
- Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize operational downtime.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and calibration of machinery, including PLC-based automation systems.
- Monitor and maintain HMIs, VFDs, and sensor feedback mechanisms.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and promptly report technical issues to the Engineering team.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, company policies, and maintenance standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Certificate in Mechanical/ Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Minimum of one year’s experience in troubleshooting PLC-based automation systems, including HMIs, VFDs, and sensor feedback systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior exposure to agricultural or dairy farm machinery maintenance will be considered an added advantage.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
