VETERINARY SURGEON

DAIRY FARMS UNITED DAIRIES LANKA (PVT.) LIMITED

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our dairy farm teams in Ambewela, where the selected candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the health, welfare, and productivity of our livestock while contributing to the sustainable growth and continued success of our operations through strong professional expertise, genuine care for animal wellbeing, and a proactive commitment to maintaining the highest standards of veterinary care and farm management.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Veterinary Science and registration with the Sri Lanka Veterinary Council.
• Experience in veterinary practice, with expertise in animal health management, disease prevention, and treatment protocols.
• Proven ability to perform surgeries and cesarean (C-section) procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making skills and lead and train farm staff on best practices in animal care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the overall health and well-being of all dairy animals.
• Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and infections.
• Develop and implement preventive health programs, including vaccination schedules.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all livestock.
• Guide and support farm staff on proper animal care and management.
