MANAGER - DATA SCIENTIST

Manager - Data Scientist is responsible for overseeing the collection, storage and interpretation of data for audit purposes. Producing data analyzed to audit management to make management decisions. Duties include sifting through data points to create organized categories, comparing data points to current processes of the Bank and figures, writing reports outlining business predictions or proposals for management to take decisions.

  • Collecting data through means such as analyzing business results or by setting up and managing new studies.
  • Transferring data into a new format to make it more appropriate for analysis.
  • Creating new, experimental frameworks to collect data.
  • Use of tools to automate data collections.
  • Searching through large data sets for usable information.
  • Creating reports and presentations for audit purposes.
  • Converting similar data to find actionable results.
  • Issuing reports for the management based on the analyzed data sets for decision making and necessary action.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.

ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate should possess one of the following qualifications.

  • Master’s degree in Information Security
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology specializing in Information Security (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP)
  • ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

A qualification related to Data Science is an added advantage. i.e. Degree in Data Science

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 05 years of experience in data science/ Use of computer aided audit techniques/ Information System Auditing, especially in banking industry.

METHOD OF SELECTION

Shortlisted applicants based on the stipulated qualifications and experience will be called for an interview. The appointment will be made on contract basis and performance will be evaluated annually.

REMUNERATION

An attractive and negotiable remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered to the selected candidate.
