PLANNING ENGINEER
Candidate Profile:
- BSc. Eng (Civil) or equivalent qualification
- Corporate Member of the IESL (Chartered Engineer)
- 15 years of total experience in out of which at least 10 years’ experience in building construction projects
Job Description:
- Develop detailed project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Prepare baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource-loaded programs.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules based on actual performance.
- Analyze schedule variances and identify potential delays or risks.
- Prepare recovery, mitigation, and acceleration plans when required.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to gather progress data.
- Prepare periodic progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and dashboards for management.
- Support cost control by integrating schedules with budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Participate in project meetings and provide planning-related input.
- Assist in claims preparation, extension of time (EOT) analysis, and delay analysis when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and company planning procedures.
