ACCOUNTANT - AUDITING AND TAX (IS CALENDAR - SL SHIFT)
H Connect International is a leading BPO company offering outsourcing services to clients based in the US, UK, and Australia. We are a subsidiary of the Hirdaramani Group, a billion-dollar conglomerate with a 125-year legacy. We are looking for an Accountant – Auditing and Tax to join our team. This role involves reviewing financial statements, assessing financial risks and internal controls, performing audit procedures, collaborating with stakeholders to improve reporting quality, and continuously developing technical and analytical skills to add value to the team.
The Job:
- Examining an organization’s financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
- Assess an organization’s financial risks, including potential fraud, mismanagement, or errors and evaluate internal control systems.
- Perform audit procedures to ensure financial statements give a true and fair view on the financial performance and position of the company.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business, communicate updates and insights to senior management, and contribute ideas, improvements, and learnings that enhance reporting quality and processes.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset by continuously developing technical, system, and analytical skills, bringing additional value to the team beyond core role requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, with CASL qualification (completed or in progress)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar audit or accounting role
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, with a sound understanding of audit procedures and risk assessment methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
- Exposure to Fathom or Castaway will be a strong advantage
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reconciliation work
