The Job:

  • Oversee complex, high-value accounts and conduct comprehensive financial risk assessments.
  • Manage high-risk credit portfolios, refine credit policy and lead complex recoveries, develop and update credit policy aligned to risk tolerance.
  • Conduct detailed due diligence on high-value credit applications to ensure sound credit decisions.
  • Liaise with legal and insolvency partners in managing formal recovery and insolvency proceedings.
  • Provide mentorship to credit controllers and report quarterly risk and performance metrics to executive management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, and/or a recognized professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, CMA, or AAT.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Credit Management, Credit Risk, Receivables Management, or a related finance function.
  • Proven expertise in credit evaluation, financial statement analysis, and credit risk assessment, with the ability to make sound commercial credit decisions.
  • Strong understanding of credit control processes, customer risk profiling, credit limit management, and debt recovery practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, credit management tools, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and financial reporting tools.
