VACANCY – PRODUCTION MANAGER

With a commitment to excellence and a passion for delivering exceptional taste experiences, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Factory Manager to manage the production of frozen foods and lead our production team.
Position Overview
As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our food production operations, manufacturing, development, and maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient operations while maintaining quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership skills and technical expertise in factory management as well as great people management and communication skills.
Candidate Profile
- Age: Male 35–45 years
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in production management, Food Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in food production. Experience from frozen food is an advantage
- Experience in international operations and export is an advantage.
- Candidates with track record from food & beverage and manufacturing companies will be prioritized.

- Leadership qualities with excellent communication in English (Sinhala/Tamil an advantage)

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of production staff to achieve production targets and collaborate with others to design and develop the layout of the food production facility ensuring optimal workflow and efficiency
- Oversee construction and installation of equipment ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure adequate utilities such as water, electricity, and gas are available to support production needs.
- Monitor infrastructure systems to identify and address any maintenance or performance issues.
- Waste management
- Machinery maintenance planning and purchase of spare parts and new equipment
- Implement energy-efficient solutions to reduce operating costs and environmental impact.
- Manage the overall site layout including parking, landscaping, and access roads to optimize functionality.
- Collaborate with other departments such as R&D and quality assurance to drive product innovation and continuous improvement as well as the logistics and cultivation department to ensure consistent and steady delivery of raw materials and pick up and transportation of finished goods.
- Liaise with management regarding logistics, production volumes and timings
- Reporting to top management.
