Join Our Team as a Finance Manager

At Coop Life Insurance, we are committed to delivering trusted insurance solutions while maintaining strong financial governance and operational excellence. We are seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced professional to join our Finance Division as a Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the Company
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and regulatory submissions
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
  • Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
  • Monitor and manage company cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic insights to support decision-making
  • Coordinate with auditors, regulatory authorities, banks, and other external stakeholders
  • Strengthen internal controls, financial systems, and risk management practices
  • Liaise with the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL), Actuary, Company Secretary, External Auditors, and Internal Audit Department on finance-related matters
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives and improve operational efficiencies
  • Collaborate with departmental heads in preparing and monitoring budgets
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members to achieve departmental objectives
  • Support the CEO and senior management by providing accurate financial information and recommendations
  • Oversee investment-related activities and capital management functions

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized university
  • Professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial position within the finance sector
  • Experience in the insurance industry will be a distinct advantage
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
