Tea Bush Hotel, a renowned hospitality destination in the scenic hill country of Nuwara Eliya, is looking for passionate and dedicated culinary professionals to join our kitchen team.
We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
- Sous Chef
- Chef de Partie
- Commis Chef

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present high-quality food in accordance with hotel standards.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor food stock levels and minimize wastage.
- Support menu preparation and kitchen efficiency initiatives.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within workstations and storage areas.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver excellent guest satisfaction.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience
Sous Chef
- Professional qualification in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar position within a hotel
- Strong leadership, kitchen management, and food cost control skills.
Chef de Partie
- Professional culinary training or relevant qualification.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Sound knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
Commis Chef
- Basic culinary training or relevant experience in food preparation.
- Passion for cooking and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
