Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented professional to lead the below stated HR Operations functions, with primary responsibility for Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Time & Attendance Management, and Employee Relations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to drive governance, compliance, and continuous improvement across HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, confidentiality, strong internal controls, and reconciliation of variances.
  • Validate payroll inputs and ensure compliance with statutory requirements (EPF, ETF, APIT/PAYE, IRD).
  • Design and implement payroll governance frameworks, including controls, approvals, audit mechanisms, and continuous improvements.
  • Manage payroll vendors end-to-end, ensuring accurate processing, issue resolution, SLA adherence, compliance, and process optimization.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits administration, rewards programs, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Establish and enforce time and attendance governance, monitor exceptions, and resolve discrepancies and overtime-related issues.
  • Ensure seamless integration of attendance with payroll systems while driving automation and process efficiency.
  • Analyze attendance trends and provide actionable workforce insights to management.
  • Manage employee insurance administration, including enrollments, renewals, claims processing, compliance, and employee support.
  • Lead employee relations, including disciplinary processes, investigations, and complex case management in coordination with EFC, ensuring legal and policy compliance.
  • Advise and support managers on employee relations matters, ensuring proper escalation and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized university or a professional qualification in Human Resource Management.
  • A full/part qualification in Accounting from an acceptable institution would be a definite advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in HR Operations, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Payroll, Compensation & Benefits Management is compulsory.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation, statutory compliance requirements, and employee relations practices.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Hands-on experience working with HRIS platforms and payroll systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships with professionalism, diplomacy, and tact.
