GENERAL MANAGER

(TEA BUSINESS & OPERATIONS)

Aberdeen Holdings is a diversified conglomerate operating across multiple industries, driving impact at scale and reaching millions of lives.

We are looking for a senior tea industry professional as General Manager to drive the growth of our tea business, working closely with the CEO on key priorities. The ideal candidate should bring strong industry knowledge, commercial understanding, and expertise in tea grading, tasting, sourcing, trading, and market development.

Role Overview

  • Work closely with the CEO to drive strategy, operations, growth initiatives, business planning, performance monitoring, and execution of strategic priorities.
  • Oversee tea trading, sales, sourcing, market development, and daily operations.
  • Lead commercial, operational, and customer-facing functions.
  • Build strong relationships with buyers, suppliers, brokers, graders, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor tea auctions, grades, tasting profiles, quality standards, pricing trends, and buyer requirements.
  • Oversee end-to-end coordination across sourcing, quality, documentation, logistics, and shipments, working closely with internal teams to ensure operational efficiency and timely execution.
  • Represent the company at industry meetings, exhibitions, trade fairs, and customer engagements.

Expertise & Skills

  • 15+ years’ experience in the tea industry, preferably in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of tea grades, tasting, quality evaluation, auctions, pricing, sourcing, and export markets.
  • Experience working with senior management, leading teams, and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Strong commercial understanding, market awareness, and an established network within the tea industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
