ASSISTANT MANAGER – RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

As we continue to expand our footprint, optimize our manufacturing capabilities, and drive market-leading innovation, we are looking for a highly skilled, innovative, and leadership-driven Assistant Manager – Research & Development to guide our R&D initiatives.
Your Mission :
- Development and optimization of advanced formulations for skincare, haircare, other personal care products, and fragrances.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide junior chemists in their daily laboratory and research activities, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Manage multiple product development projects simultaneously, ensuring seamless execution from concept, testing, through to commercial scale-up.
- Conduct deep research on new ingredients, emerging technologies, and global market trends. Collaborate closely with suppliers to source high-quality, innovative raw materials.
- Oversee and perform rigorous stability testing, compatibility studies, and sensory evaluations to guarantee product performance, safety, and shelf-life.
- Support the production floor during scaling up, resolving complex formulation challenges and optimizing process efficiency. Investigate and resolve any stability or performance deviations in existing product lines.
- Ensure all new and existing formulations comply fully with national and international regulatory standards. Maintain meticulous, accurate records of formulations, test results, technical reports, and safety documentation.
- Partner strategically with Production, Quality Assurance, and Marketing teams to ensure total readiness for successful product launches.
Are You the One?
- A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Science, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience in R&D and formulation within the cosmetics, FMCG, or pharmaceutical sector, with at least 1–2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.
- Proven expertise in handling diverse formulations, scale-up operations, and stability troubleshooting (specific experience in professional hair and skincare is highly advantageous).
