Senior Manager – Business Development & Resource Mobilisation (NGO/Development Sector)

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented professional to lead our fundraising, partnership development, resource mobilisation, and strategic communication efforts.
Location
Colombo (with frequent field travel)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement fundraising and resource mobilisation strategies.
- Identify and pursue grant opportunities, donor funding, and consultancy assignments.
- Develop high-quality concept notes, project proposals, and funding applications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, development partners, and key stakeholders.
- Lead strategic communications, visibility, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Develop communication products including donor reports, success stories, case studies, policy briefs, and newsletters.
- Support strategic partnerships with government, private sector, civil society, and development partners.
Qualifications & Experience
Master’s Degree in Development Studies, Communications, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in fundraising, donor relations, business development, communications, or resource mobilisation within the development sector.
- Proven track record in proposal development and securing donor funding.
- Strong understanding of sustainable development, climate resilience, and development programming.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and multi-partner initiatives.
