FACTORY OPERATIONS MANAGER
Sola Chemical Company is seeking a highly organized, dynamic, and result-oriented Factory Operations Manager to oversee all production, manufacturing, and operational activities at our cleaning chemicals manufacturing facility.
You will be responsible for planning and executing production schedules, optimizing resource utilization, managing factory personnel, and ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Your role will focus on driving operational efficiency, maintaining seamless departmental coordination, and achieving daily production targets.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire day-to-day factory operations to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Plan, implement, and monitor production schedules and targets for the cleaning chemicals manufacturing line.
- Coordinate closely with Stores, Procurement, and Logistics departments to ensure optimal raw material availability and streamlined dispatch of finished goods.
- Enforce strict adherence to chemical handling safety protocols, hazard disposal regulations, and environmental guidelines across the facility.
- Regularly evaluate plant machinery performance and collaborate with the Maintenance team to minimize breakdown times and prevent operational disruptions.
- Manage, supervise, and evaluate the performance of factory laborers, technical staff, and production supervisors, ensuring discipline and attendance.
- Prepare and submit detailed daily/weekly production logs, efficiency summaries, and cost-control reports to the Head Office.
- Identify bottlenecks in the production line and implement process improvement initiatives to minimize waste and optimize operational costs.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar managerial or supervisory role within a chemical manufacturing or fast-paced factory environment.
- Degree or Diploma in Operations Management, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry (BSc), or a related discipline.
- Sound knowledge of factory regulations, labor management, industrial safety protocols, and supply chain workflows.
- Strong proficiency in IT literacy and relevant manufacturing or ERP software.
- Ability to work independently, make critical operational decisions, and manage high-level responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional leadership, team coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
