We are a BOI approved leading hydro power company located in Colombo 08, looking out for an experienced, dynamic and target oriented professional to join the team for immediate employment.
VACANCY – GROUP ACCOUNTANT
THE ROLE
We are looking for a professionally qualified Accountant with Financial and Management Accounting experience in the renewable energy sector / project-based environment. The role further includes developing and implementing financial and operational controls in all business segments to ensure continuous business improvements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the management and financial accounting function of the company.
- Generate and consolidate various reports for the relevant stakeholders.
- Develop policies, procedures, and controls pertaining to internal controls and ensure the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary system.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory institutions.
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operation within the group (Payroll/ Invoicing / Other transactions)
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Qualifications: Full / Part qualified in ICASL / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Key Skills: Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills. Strong demonstrated the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Work Style: Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and to meet tight deadline
- Languages: Fluent in English and Sinhala
- Age Criteria: Age below 45 years
